Mind you, I just replaced the windshield last month with the help of a buddy (Help wasn't necessary, but I found it a little stressful once it came to gasket manipulation around the inside. He was good for smacking it from the outside).
Just seems to be prep.. And it would have been less stressful is the crappy butyl I got didn't harden up like seam sealer! (I will use the 'remains goopy' stuff on the outside.. So hopefully haven't this seam sealer viscosity stuff on the inside of the rubber with the glass, and around the metal of the car doesn't hurt too much, if I pump around the outside of the gasket with the CRL brand stuff.
