I just received the front Total Control coilover kit today for my wifes 65 fastback, and after examining the parts all I can say is wow! I already have the TCP coilover kits installed on my two other Mustangs and this kit is a better kit than the old kits.
The lower control arm has a new type of bushing than the rod end the old kit used, the strut rods have a different end which looks like it would be easier to adjust caster than the old kit, the coilovers have a better height adjustment than the old, and lastly where the shock mounts to the shock towers there is a reinforcement plate which the old kit didnt have {but was much needed as the coilover shock almost came through the shock tower on my black Mustang}.
I was going to use the Unique front coilover kit for my Eeanor project since I have their coilover kit for the rear, but after looking at this new kit from the new Total Control co. Im probably going to go with it insted........Mike U.

In case you don't know TCP now offers that reinforcement ring to update the older coilover kits.

Doesn't Unique get their parts from TCP and just relabel them as Unique parts, I know the early E cars all had TCP suspension parts, the Unique stuff looks an awful lot like the TCP stuff.

look close at the Unique front coilover kit its a little different than tcp. I know the rear is very different on the Unique vs the TCP. The Unique rear is round steel vs square among other things. But, to answer your question Unique may still be made by TCP I dont know......Mike U.
Update, just installed the kit today I almost got the brake calipers reinstalled before my wife and I got into a huge fight.

I think Ill order the reinforcing plate for the protouring pony since I didnt see them install any type of reinforcement on the playback of the show where they installed the original kit.......thanks, Mike U.
