Howdy, So I finally have my car somewhat driveable. So, I took it over to the alignment shop yesterday. Everything actually went much better than I expected, no overheating or anything strange. Except for one thing.
I have an engine vibration at 1,900 RPM specifically. The vibration is isolated to within a few hundred RPM of that range. It is smooth above or below, and it doesn't seem to matter if clutch is in or out or if the car is in gear or not.
The engine is a brand new 331 stroker in front of a TKO600, I am using RMP lowered adjustable engine mounts as well as an RMP unicross transmission crossmember and a urethane bushing.
The reason I mention that is because that is my theory at the moment. That the urethane is transferring a harmonic at that RPM to the chassis. Mostly because I ran the engine before installing the trans and I don't recall it having any vibration like that. So I don't think it is a balancer or flywheel issue.
Does this sounds like a decent theory? And does anyone with a TKO know where I can get a rubber mount? The car is meant as a driver so I want it to be as smooth as possible.
thanks!
