If you have like $12 in parts for each harness, then charging $12 each for labor building them isn't out of line (for your $50ish total). Can't hurt to start at $50 a pair and work on the supply/demand curve from there.

They look really professional by the way. Nice job.

The video looked good but, if I were a potential buyer, I'd like to see the demonstration with the headlight switch in the "parking" position (first notch out) as well.
Thanks!
I'll try to get another vid made tomorrow, with both harnesses installed.

Another video...
Apr 3, 2014 - YouTube

I did have to make a couple of changes to the harness. I added a ground wire that connects to the side marker housing, and I also had to find double filament light bulbs that would fit in the side marker socket.
I was able to get the the price for the connectors down, but the new light bulbs are an added cost.
Still, I'd be fine selling them for $38, which is less than the $50 I thought I was going to need to charge.
What do you guys think?

Robert,
What dual filament bulb did you find that fits the stock side marker lamp housing?

Thanks

Hey Paul,
It's from a motorcycle application, I think it's a 8063? I'd have to check in the garage.
It does have the offset tangs, so I just grind the high one off. Plugs right into the stock socket.

Paul, the bulb is an 8046.
Mini bulb, double filiment, amber color, offset tangs. They are about $2 each plus shipping, online.

Robert
Thanks. I usually can find any bulb online but Im not finding a 8046 12V dual filament. Do you have a link?

Paul

It's a bikemaster bulb, I think 24-8046? Or 25- or 26-....

OK I found them. I dont think the number you listed is a 'standard bulb number' like 1157. But if you google '1157 small globe', bingo.

Thanks again and good idea!

Hi guys, new to this forum. Glad to be here. Found my way here while researching how to keep my front parking lights on while the headlights are on.
I hate to awaken this thread, but.....

I noticed that Robsan devised a "cable set" that he plugged in between the stock wiring to keep the park lights on and the side markers blink.
Does anyone here know how to make this "cable set" or maybe have a schematic ? Would be greatly appreciated

Andy

Pretty sure the easy fix for the "parking lights on" issue is to replace the OE headlamp switch with a '69+ switch. For the "side marker blink" function, it's removing the black wire on each side marker from its ground and connecting it to its respective side's turn signal wire... WHI/BLU for the right side and GRN/WHI for the left.

Thanks Woodchuck; I'll give it a try.

I dont have a 1969 but according to the 1969 factory wiring diagram (1969 Mustang Electrical Assembly Manual which I do have) the 1969 headlight switch and parking lights are wired and operate like the 1968. I find that interesting considering that many have said that the parking lights stay on with the headlights starting in 1969.

I really dont think the headlight switches are wired differently internally on the 1969 from the earlier switches although there may be some external differences to allow mounting to the later dash. Perhaps the harness(es) are wired differently so that the front parking lights are connected to the running lights (rear, side) and the schematics currently available do not represent the latest.
