Pretty sure rear window defroster/defogger was not part of the Grande package, but I'll let others confirm.

 

For reference, in 1968 the rear defogger was available on the fastback, and I don't see why the fold-down function would make this not available. I've only seen one of these over the years. The diagram for 1969-70 only shows the coupe.

 

I would to see that in a car, that's wild!

 

For 1970, the rear defogger was a $26 option available only on the 65 body code two door hardtops.

 

Further; was rear defogger part & parcel of the Grande option? Thanks in advance.

My first car was a 69 Grande. I don't remember it having a rear defroster. Then again I sold it 35+ years ago... 🤔

 

I don't know about the 70 cars but it was not an RPO or regular production option for the 65 through 66, but a dealer option, marketed under the Rotunda brand but manufactured by another company and reboxed and I believe that was the same method but a different shape of defogger for 67-68. I believe that style of defogger was made available across The Big Three well into the 70s
