I have been in contact with a company that can relpicate fender emblems. They would have "200" on them instead of "289". The emblems would be a very close copy of the originals. They could be attached with a magnet or two way tape. This is a chance for all of us 6 cylinder owners to have the look of a v8 on the outside. Anyway, I would have to order 100 emblems (50 pair) to make it financially viable. What I need to know is if there are 49 six cylinder owners out there who would be interested in something like this. I am estimating the cost to be no more than $39 plus $6 shipping and handling for a total of $45 US a pair. Let me know and if there is enough interest, I will then take orders and start the manufacture of the fender emblems. I am not in the parts business and this is just something I have been thinking about doing for some time. Thanks.

people over at www.fordsix.com have been looking for these emblems for a long time! Post over there and I am sure you'll have your 49 people! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

You do realize that this was posted in 2002?

I've seen a few of those over the years.

Two pairs of 302 and a pair of 289 emblems go into a room with a dremel tool, but only a pair of these come back out. Personally, I don't get it. A bunch of money and work, and in the end it's not like anyone ever looked at an early Mustang and thought that what the thing really needed was more chrome emblems...

"if you have to ask, you would not understand! "

I agree!!!!!! lol...)

All you would have to do is Kitbash two sets of "260" emblems. The "V" would be a casualty obviously....but would stay...

I kicked around the idea a few years ago... and I believe that they would sell very well..especially for the restomod crowd.. or a cool "custom" look...where you do a "doubletake", and look twice!

I would build them exactly like the photoshopped image at the beginning of the thread.

Yes, You could do that too.. Just get the fonts from a 289 and 302 '67-'68 emblem to make a "200"..emblem..
