I'll add to that. AutoZone is exceptionally sloppy in their "antique" auto listings.
Case in point: Y'all know the year, make, model thing, and it's annoying, but is is the way their filing system operates...But I digress. As a former employee after retirement, I might be the worlds authority on the pitfalls of their system. So in you go, year:70, Make: Ford, Model: Mustang. At this point it request engine size: 351, M code, Which is a 351C 4V. Input hose, lower. Up pops the hoses, lots of hoses. Further inspection reveals the first 3 are Windsor hoses. What? I entered the M code Cleveland motor. WTF??? Sloppy just plain sloppy. Enter water pump, same thing. I actually got screwed on this deal myself, (and I know better) I was in a hurry, and snatched a water pump, got home, opened the box, and the first thing I see is the cover plate on the rear of the pump. No plate on a Cleveland. So much for the hurry, here comes the return trip.
Here's the point, people don't walk in every day to get a water pump or hose for a near 60 year old car, so most of the parts folks are unaware the AutoZone programmer took a few (lazy) shortcuts. If your AutoZone is like mine, most of the parts guys today have no interest in learning the pitfalls of the system, especially when it relates to a 60 year old vehicle. Look for the old guy, then again if your store is like mine, they yell, "Hey Don, old Ford, and run like they saw a skunk. If the old gear head guy is not there, get involved in the look up. It might save you some time and frustration.
