can someone tell me what performance I can expect from a 390, this is for my s-code 67 fastback that I picked up and is missing the engine, I found a guy that can build me a date coded engine...
std distributor. with pertronix, oil modifications, water passage mods done to the block,internally coated with glyptal,new cam bearings,fresh ground crank with new bearings,reconditioned rods with new bushings and hardened bolts installed,seal power 10.5 to 1 flat top pistons with hasting moly rings,428/390gt camshaft with pbm lifter set,new timing set,new rocker shafts,,4v dated intake manifold,Holley 750 carb,heads have new large valves and pocket ports, springs retainers,keepers,and hardened exhaust seats ,melling oil pump with high pressure kit,new melling pick up tube,dist shaft and new silverseal oil pan,pioneer deep brass freeze plugs installed,all oil plugs remover and tapped to receive screw in plugs for safety.

The only differance I see is I used the 428 PI aluminum intake,headers,and a 600 holley.I would have definatly run better with a little more carb.I also was using a factory duel point distributor.
