67 coupe project *updated 306 turbo soon
My father recently was able to purchase his first car, a 1973 gold plymouth roadrunner. Well in the process of tracking that car down, I found a mustang I was interested in. Im a boat mechanic but have always played around with things that move, so I thought why not get a muscle car to drive next to the road runner.
So I came across a 1967 mustang coupe with a 302 in it. The car is sound with a small rust patch on the rear quarter panel and a small spot on the trunk lid. The motor is all there and runs but the owner recommended I give it a go over. The interior looks decent. Dash isn't cracked, gauges are original, steering wheel has been replaced and the seats are shot. The frames can be used but needs new foam and cloth. He bought the car and drove it but recently wanted to restore it. He became ill and decided to sell it. He wanted 4k for it but then lowered it. I asked him if he would take 2700 cash on the spot and he said to pick it up saturday morning.
I am excited to finally own a mustang. My ex's father had a 1965 red mustang 289 convertible and it was great to ride in.
My end plans for this car is to move it from Florida(where I am at currently) and get it to Seattle(where I'm moving). I want to set the car up for the curves of Seattle. Any suggestions y'all have would be great!
I have pictures that the owner sent me but Ill get better ones. I love this site and how y'all take pictures of everything! Its better than a manual.
Have a great day guys and glad to be apart of the mustang community on her 50th year.
