A few questions about the correct pieces for my 1967 Mustang. First, it was produced in Dearborn on 04/21/67 (7F01C2XXXXX). It is a 289, 3sp manual, without A/C or power steering.

1) My water pump pulley has part number C5AE 8509B on it. Is this the correct pulley?

2) My crank pulley has C5AE-A stamped on the inside surface. Is this the correct crank pulley?

3) What finish is on the bolts used to mount these pulleys?

I ask as the previous owner installed A/C on this vehicle. I believe some of these were replaced but am not certain.

I just finished sandblasting the pulleys today. I plan to put them back on if they are the correct ones. Could anyone help me with these questions?

So these are both single sleeve pulleys?

Retaining bolts are phosphate & oil finish

Yes. The pulleys are both single groove.

Craig I got a jump on looking up your pulleys. Bob's listings show that both pulleys are correct for your application. They're listed as applicable for 65-67.

Regarding your crank pulley, there's an interesting footnote. It stated that "most, if not all, were produced without the stamped number". Guess yours dispels the "if not all" part!

Thanks John. I hoped they were the correct ones since I had already sand blasted them.

The number on the crank pulley is very light and stamped on the inside of the pulley. It would be easy to miss if you were not looking really hard for the number.

Most of the crank and water-pump pulley attaching bolts I have seen are silver plating, like zinc or cadmium.
