American Pony/ FedEx question...

I ordered a set of leaf springs, the hardware, and a set of four KYB shocks from these guys last week. It was supposed to show up "mid week" this week, so I was looking forward to having them installed Friday. Today, a FedEx package showed up containing only the shocks and hardware. The driver was driving down the street by the time I could get to my front door, so I couldn't ask him about it. No springs.

OK...so I call American Pony (Canadian Mustang). They said the springs usually take a day or two extra to arrive. They ship them at the same time, but they don't arrive to the customer at the same time. This seems weird. Anyone else experience anything like this?

BTW- I'm not ranting or freaking out or anything. I have confidence that they'll turn up, it just means that that I have to wait 'til next week to have 'em installed.

Relax..it's not unusual. I have had carpet shipped at the same time as the under layment, and the boxes arrive days apart. Recently, I purchased a parts washer (BIG box) along with some small hand tools from Harbor Freight. The big box arrived Thursday 10/10 and the smaller box Tuesday 10/15.

-> They were both shipped out the same day.

If you don't have your springs by Monday then call again and try to track where they are en route, although I'm not sure if Fed Ex has tracking numbers like UPS.
Good luck!

I just got springs and one of the rebuild kits from American Pony. Everything showed up but the tie-rods - no big deal. I was impressed with them overall, and particularly impressed that the backordered tie-rods showed up via FedEx - showed me that they had a sense of urgency to get the backordered stuff to me.

And, I've ordered a lot of parts in the last year and it is very common for things to be shipped out (with standard shipping, not priority like 2 day, overnight and such) the same day and arrive on different days. Nice thing about this being a hobby is: I'm not operating on a deadline so I don't really worry about when stuff gets here, just happy when it does.
