Another Power Steering Hose Question?

There appears to be a clamp/strap of some sort that is wrapped around the hoses and control valve to hold the hoses to the valve. Does this need to be cut or is there some type of fastener? Is this a replaceable part, I do not see it listed in any of the diagrams?

I don't know the "right" answer to your question. I have never seen the clamp your talking about for sell by any of the suppliers. I can only tell you that my car has always had a hose clamp rather than the org. clamp. The org. clamp was removed sometime before I got the car in 78'. Maybe someone else can tell us where to get one.

Yes the clamp sort of looks like a flat nylon or thin metal tie strap of some sort.

I have a drawing that I will scan and email to you. It shows the clamp or band with a part number of 3C750. I have no idea what would be a replacement part number. I think it is a metal band but don't know that it is reuseable? See what you think when you get the email. I'll look forward to hearing from you. PM me so I know you got it.

Most of the cars you see being driven use a regular old hose clamp.
