i posted a while back i made this post about my borgeson unit http://forums.vintage-mustang.com/vintage-mustang-forum/1022609-borgeson-update-after-4k-miles.html
Well i got the box back from them and after i paid to have it returned, i got it back and installed it over the week. Yesterday i took it out and the box seemed a lot tighter and didnt have the middle play like it did before. Well today i took it out and had to make some pretty sharp turns through a parking lot and once again, i see smoke coming from the hood. pop it and once again, PS fluid all over the box and headers! im beyond pissed at this point. im using their pump, had their hoses and had to get custom ones made, and now on box number two. oh and to top it off, the pump now leaks!

So at this point im done with this POS box. So i need advice on a rack. but cant get an answer about my header/engine combo to make sure it fits. Either TCP or Unisteer.

I have a 351w with Dougs try-y headers in my 69 vert. anyone have either of the two racks in a 69 with dougs headers?

I have to wonder if the pressure relief or fluid orifice in the pump is blocked or fouled in some way?

I autocrossed mine here in TX. then drove it last summer on Power Tour with an FE with header tubes 7&8 hugging the box without any problems. Came home and installed an auto trans cooler in the return hose as well as a Turn One flow restricter in my AutoZone sourced GM canned ham pump and haven't had any problems.
I did tune the pump with shims to lower the pressure to the point the power steering effort increased at idle then pulled one shim to raise the pressure. As a guess I'm running about 1000psi.

If the pump somehow sucks air the resulting pressure spike can cause problems.

thats what im thinking that the pump is actually over pressurizing the box. and my return line now has a 90* fitting on it as the hoses are running under the car and back up. the fitting isnt smaller than the hose diameter but 90* elbows in anything can create a pressure issue.
