C4 pump gears

Are all the gears used in the C4 pump the same….as in interchangeable? I have an early C4 pump (67-69) that has a cracked gear. PO apparently didn’t have TC seated properly and probably forced it together with bell housing bolts, cracking the gear. I have a few “ parts transmissions“ that I may be able to rob some gears, but wasn’t sure if they were the same. I only see 1 set of gears on summit, and it doesn’t specify specific years, so it leads me to believe they are the one in the same. And those “Hughes performance” gears can be drop shipped in March of 2022. Can someone with more knowledge verify my thoughts? Its pouring rain so I haven’t gone into the shop to start comparing parts….

Perfect. That’s what I needed to hear. The local trans parts shop is no longer open on Saturday, I will need to use my parts it seems. Hopefully l can find a good set of gears. thanks Gypsy.

No, not my first rodeo, but it is sound advice, thanks for that. There is a reason I can tell the PO forced this trans in….one of my first hard lessons to learn in HS. Been there done that!

Ok update. Torque converter is in perfect shape, no distortion or damage to snout. I was able to scavenge gears from another spare pump, so I am good to go. I have a few more items to clean before I reassemble this C4. It will be a pretty stout trans….with a fresh rebuild, H servo and a shift kit it should be pretty happy grabbing a scratch in second…

FYI- the finest torque convertor shop is in Houston- Brittain Parts Supply 1114 Berry St 77022, 713-694-0712.
Been around since 1962 and when you go in their shop you feel like you're back in the 1960's. They have done three C-4 units for me including new gears. Highly recommended.
