Tore down my spare 289 this week and am trying to identify the cam. As for as I know it is the cam that came in it 54 years ago. It has the FOMOCO label but it is a part number I can't find the specs on.
The numbers are 38 just before the last lobe and UA X next to the last journal.
There is a H stamped on the back side of the rear journal.
762408

Anyone recognize this cam?

Thanks, yarb

That was Ford's go-to cam for 2V and 4V 289/302 engines in the 60's. Would it help if we called it a "1968 Shelby GT350" camshaft?

LOL, Like my '68 GT500 brakes:)
I was talking with a couple of hot rodders/actual racers about my "small cam" and stock stuff few weeks ago, they said I should be able to spin to nearly 6K with "good" oil and oil pressure and a bigger carb. IDK.
