Hey I was wondering if anyone had insight on about how much a 69' 351W BLOCK should be. Thanks for your help.

It varies...... ;)

For stock blocks, it depends on casting # (year), condition (standard bore or not), and geographical location.

The C9OE block is considered the strongest and in most cases will cost more. Late model 351W roller blocks are pretty rare....cost more too.

Cost for bare block: $50-$400+. Shortblocks & longblocks can be in the same range.

Aftermarket Dart or World block can be $2k or so.

The 351W roller block started in 94, F4TE is what I think the part number starts with. Not all of these blocks came with a roller cam but they are roller cam ready meaning they have the taller cast lifter bores.

I have heard the 351W block up to 74 are of the stronger castings. Are all 69, 70 to 74 blocks the same? I have no clue. All I know is I had a 74 block and the guy bought it to build a stroker motor. I got $100 for it which wasn't bad for a free motor.

I just sold a standard bore 351W D4AE block (1976) to a guy in Washington. It will clean up at .030 just fine. He's going to build a 393 stroker out of it. Sale price $100 for bare block with main caps & bolts.

I bought this C9OE block with a standard bore & main caps for $350. It's been tanked, magged & bead blasted. I'll bore it .030 and use it for my 408 project.

There are deck height differences. 69-72 is 9.480". 73 and up is 9.503".
