Engine compartment detailing question (Hoses)

I usually enter my car in a few of the local car shows around my area. And in detailing the engine compartment I'm wondering, what's the best product to clean up rubber heater hoses and such. I'm not looking for something glossy or a product that will remove the OME part numbers. What best for this?

I like to use the mechanic's hand cleaner like GoJo, Goop, etc., to clean radiator hoses, heater hoses, and the like. I can't tell you if it will take off the script though. Maybe put a small dab in an area that isn't easily seen and see if it has any affect.

I just put brand Marti Auto Works hoses with correct numbers on. Other than they don't fit my all aftermarket engine🤣 they say clean them with very diluted mild soapy water.
"We recommend cleaning by using a very diluted soapy water solution on a damp cloth with very light pressure." NPD

Chadwick's No Sling Tire cleaner worked fine on my hoses etc.
