After having the 70 for almost 2 years I have finally been able to get to work on it. (2 moves and one child later). Not doing a ton at a time, but a little each night when I can, have been able to get all of the sheetmetal off of the front and will be pulling the motor/trans out next week. Probably will finish stripping the interior out this week if I can. So far I've been quite happy with how the body and underpinnings look. SWMBO has even said that i'm in a better mood now that i'm working on the car... (stress relief). All in all, really happy with it, not trying to do too much at one time, just enough to see progress, don't want to get burnt on it.

Here's a couple of pics:

There are some morehere if you'd like to look.

Thanks for the help so far all,

Derek

Keep up the good work and keep the pictures coming. Recovering from a couple surgeries and it will keep me motivated.

From the pictures it looks like your helper is doing all the work :) Stay motivated to get it done, it's easy to take them apart, but hard to finish. Good luck.
He's Cheap labor! :)
Thanks for the kind words. Really excited about it, happy that there isn't a bunch of cancer that I have to deal with which will help speed things along. Depending on how the dis-assembly goes I'd like to have it on the road by next Fall. My biggest challenge of late is finding a reputable painter in the area.

It can be great for stress relief and sometimes it can cause the stress. But it's all worth it in the end. Sounds like you have the same approach that many of us took. You likely won't make your deadline and you certainly won't be under budget but that's all part of the experience. Enjoy it!

probably not, but hey I've got to set some goals to shoot for or it'll just drag..

BTW, love the color of your car!
