In light of whizco's post (thanks man!), I am considering purchasing some Flaming River products.

I want a 16:1 steering box, and a paintable tilt steering column. In reference to the NPD catalog, it says I need to order a certain steering box to use there tilt steering column. NPD's part numbers don't match up with Flaming River's, so I'm a little confused.

Do I want a short or long shaft steering box?
Do I need additional accessories with a short shaft box?
Are the Flaming River steering columns collapsible?
Can someone please help me out with the part numbers?

Here is there website http://www.flaming-river.com/

I’d really appreciate the help! I’d really like to get this out of my mind. It's to late to call Flaming River, and I don't know if all get the opportunity tomorrow.

I have a 66 Mustang by the way...

I would suggest that you call the fine folk at Flaming River and ask them for a list of the part numbers you will need. That is the best way to avoid missing something or getting something wrong.

You will need the short shaft box
You will need either a rag-joint or a borgeson joint
You will need the column

If you are going aftermarket on the steering wheel you may want to get a longer column to compensate for lack of dish on the wheel as well.
