My dad told me he had a set of seat backs that were removed from his fastback in the 80s, but he forgot where he had placed them. Well it turns out my uncle had them this whole time and he finally gave them back!

I did a few searches and I take it these things are pretty rare considering the trim in all there.

AH, pretty useless as there are holes and torn out mounts. Sorry, that is just the plain truth. Impossible to fix those holes without evidence of a repair. Hopefully the chrome is not damaged.

true, I see that repos are available for the shells. also mustangs unlimited sells the mounting clips as well.

The trim is certainly of value.
i figured that is what everyone is after. the trim is in excellent condition and all mounting studs and speed nuts are still attached.

any idea what they might be worth in their current state?

Last year I got a complete set of deluxe seats (with seat backs, lowers & all the trim) for $100. There are some cracks on the seat backs, but everything else was perfect.

Now you can come back and tell us what they were worth.

I have the complete red deluxe front seats/rear seats in good condition that I'm storing in my shed but if they're worth what's being quoted here they'll be coming in the house this week!

Well, it's kind of sad to see them sit in a garage or shed thinking of the value in 5-10 years instead of seeing the vintage stuff getting used on the road again.
