Just found out I will be in the central Michigan area next week. Central Michigan University to be exact. Any Mustang related things to check out while I am there? Will have to be mainly evening type things, I have to work during the day :chainsaw: :joker:
Thanks,
Russ

Hmmm. Are you the reason CMU tuition increased 19% this semester? :: If you are still around, catch the Mustang Memories show in Livonia on Sunday, Aug 14th. It would be about a 5 hour round trip for you, but it's a very nice show www.mocsem.com

I think there is a weekly cruise in Lansing which is about an hour from Mt. Pleasant. Check www.michiganmustang.com

19%!?! Not me!. The tv station side should be run completely separate from the university stuff, I think.
Pretty sure I won't be there past Sat am. Bummer.
Thanks,
Russ

Darn it. looks like my hotel had better have some decent cable channels.

A couple suggestions depending on when you arrive and depart. Also if you willing to drive a bit .... 07AU05 is the Concours d'Elegance at Meadowbrook. Granted these are the grand and ultimate classic cars but there will be at least one ring of muscle cars and several rings of competition cars. Last year there were several Shelbys, Mustang and Cobra. I suggest trying to get there early. Public admission is $25 / person at the gate. Gate opens at 9:00 am. If your still around on 14AU05 ... the Mustang Club of South Eastern Michigan has their show in Livonia (near Detroit). This is one of the best all Ford shows in Michigan. You can find more information on the MOSEM website. Finally, I do not know how often you get out to this area, but a visit to the Henry Ford (museum) in Dearborn is a must. The Mustang I and II concept cars are on display as well as the first production 1964.5 Mustang. I hope you take the opportunity to get out a bit ...

Thanks. I get in late Sunday and am scheduled to leave early Sat. I am going to try to get to the Ford Museum if I can leave CMU Friday am. It all depends on how quickly and smoothly the updates I am installing in our equipment goes. I wouldn't mind staying over the next weekend, but unless it is due to problems with the work I am doing I can't afford to.
This will be the first time I have ever been in this part of Michigan, and I have only ridden through the short part from Detroit to Windsor before. And the last time for that was in 1974 or so. :)
