Interior Trim Panel Brackets for a 65 Fastback

Some of the interior panel brackets are missing from my floors (since they were replaced).

I looked all through my factory manuals and I can't find any pictures of what the trim panels mount too. There are some references to brackets in the interior manual, but no pictures showing them.

Does anyone have any good pictures of any brackets that the trim panels mount too?

I looked online and it doesn't seem that anyone sells these brackets, so I want to fab up what I need before I put a coat of lizard skin (or similar product) on the floors.

I won't be installing the rear seats...only need shots of brackets where the trim panels attach.

I found the two brackets for the quarter trim panels...but those are the only ones I have.

I don't have the lower rear brackets or any of the ones for the rear trim that goes along the back (just under the window opening) or along the side. Also don't have the ones that are near the wheel wells.

Here's a picture of the inside of the car.

Some look easy enough to fabricate...I'd just need some measurements to bend up the metal.

I might just have to buy this bracket kit that I found online:
65-66 Mustang Fastback Body Bracket Kit, (Body Shell Part) - Restoration Performance Center

Anyone use this kit made by Dynacorn?

I bought the kit and there are no instructions or reference sheets that tell me where they all go.

I can figure most of them out (many are mounted in holes near the back window with screws). I don't know where the handle looking things go in the picture on the right.

Also don't really have any reference points or measurements for the stuff that get welded to the floor ( like the ones that the fold down seat mounts too)

Are the positions of these covered in any of the assembly manuals? I didn't see any reference pictures.

The 2 brackets that you say look like handles appear to me to be for a 67 fastback. They go above the wheels well just aft of the center of the wheel well. The 65-66 brackets look quite a bit different than those although the one in the kit you bought may work on a 65-66. They hold the back of the big fiberglass side quarter panel piece and the front of the small corner piece and they mount directly behind the beltline moldings. Take a look at this web page. It shows the kits for the 65 and the kit for the 67. The difference in the brackets in question can be seen in the two different pictures. Thanks for helping me figure out what should have been obvious.

Here's the box they sent me:

Dynacorn is shipping the right set out to me and picking up the incorrect one.

Still trying to hunt down a resource to show me where to weld the lower pieces to the floor. I have a solution for the quarter trim panels. Just need a good location for the others that mount to the floor.

Anyone have a fastback with the interior gutted to take some measurements for me?

A handful of pictures showing the brackets that the trim panels mount to would be great. There are a few different shaped brackets and I want to make sure I get them all in the right spots.

I might hit you up for some measurements for the L shaped bracket that the fold-down seatback mounts too. I don't know for sure if I need to use that to mount in a rear-seat delete shelf...posting that question in another thread.

Thanks so much.

I can get you a picture of where I put mine, but they may not be perfect. To mount mine, I attached the lower bracket to the panel and then mounted the panel to the car (using the other mounting points). When it looked like it was in a good spot, I marked with a sharpie where the bracket met the floor. Then took the panel out and used my marks to spot weld it in place.
