Well, I've already posted a few things, but I have my '65 now and took some pics of it. It came from my Father who built it in '99 for dominating the Virginia City Hillclimb (which he did for several years). It has a CHP 347 Street Fighter stroker with some mods of his own, putting out about 420 hp to the rear wheels and 410 ft/lb or torque. It has a Tremec 3550 transmission, a modified short shift shifter, cage, rear seat delete, Recaro seats, frame stiffeners, sway bars everywhere, and a 2" drop. It smokes them in the first 4 gears, and I can't drag race anyone because I can't keep it straight yet! The cam is wicked, rumbles the neighborhood and makes all of the old men smile on the street (I'm happily married, so I don't really care if the cute girls are impressed ;^)

My plans are to go through the NASA HPDE classes with my daughter who just turned 16 (there is a pic of her below when she was 12 in the car). She has a '74 Bug with an 1835cc and lowered about 1.5". She wants to eventually race like the rest of my family. My Father, Grandpa, Grandma all raced, and I used to do track days on my CBR900RR. So this will hopefully give us years of excitement. However, I am also using it as my daily driver, so I can't get too crazy with it.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and hopefully providing some great info as well. Thanks to everyone for the input on my posts already (I've decided to keep the rear seat delete).

I love you fb! That's classy. The VW is cool too. I use to have a 70 many moons ago. It had a 1640, dual port heads, mild Engle cam, Zenith carb, 010 distributor and extractor. That was a blast on the street. I had a lot of fun beating up on small V8's with an auto trans. Thanks for sharing.

Nice cars, but I'm most impressed with the happily married comment! Welcome!

Think this is my first post here but I couldn't resist. Great cars! Mustang looks fantastic and it's neat to have that family history. Diggin the bug too. What a great first car with the 1835.

Nope, 7th post...
