My 65 Coupe is finally in a paint shop getting stripped down and now comes the tricky part. Deciding a paint color. It was originally caspian blue with white interior. I would like to stay a darker blue color; however, I want it to be a non-metallic color. I have been looking through cars trying to find a non-metallic paint code that I could steal to use for my coupe, but I can't find anything that I am completely happy with. I prefer the looks of the lighter colors but I think a navy will match better with the interior. Any suggestions for a non metallic paint code that will match my white interior and look good ?

I am leaning towards the bali blue of the porsche 356 in the last picture. I am just in love with these non metallic cars. I believe the maier racing car is non metallic it is one of my favorites (just dont think that color would match up well with white interior)! Is there an advantage to newer vs older paint codes?

Porsche Bali Blue would look great with that interior you have pictured. Any blue with a slight greenish tint to it should match up well with the blue trim in your otherwise white interior. (As a general rule white by itself goes with everything, even baby poop brown.)

If a blue paint color is named for an ocean, sea, island, or anything nautical it will nearly always have that little bit of green tint, and that's a hint.

A stark true blue would not look right.
All that said, you should reconsider Caspian (a sea). Popular and original, it's a terrific color.:smile2:

Try going to a automotive paint company web site (PPG, et.al) and seeing what is available.

I was in the same boat you're in a while back looking a long time for a non-metallic dark blue. One day I was in Walmart looking for some black paint and I saw this on the shelf:
Rust Oleum 280694 American Accents Ultra Cover 2X Spray Paint, Gloss Deep Blue, | eBay

I bought a can and took it to the paint supply and they used their computer to come up with a recipe for it.

Another option may be Ford Corporate Blue engine paint.

The ford blue engine paint color is an interesting option. It's a "factory color", but different than other exterior blues and a nice color.

I love my ford color, deep impact blue. Seems to sit well with ppl that comment on my car around town. I got it mixed with less metallic than factory.

I did my Dads convertible in ford sapphire blue w/ white interior. Looks great.

I'm still trying to decide between a blue, red, or gray variant. If I went blue, I'd do sepang blue (audi color) or deep impact.

Its so hard to decide without ever having seen a nicely repainted or original caspian blue car in person. It looks so dang different in every picture I see of it on the internet!

After some more research I have added the the color "Pozzi blue" to my list of possibilities. It is a very dark non metallic blue almost black. That and sticking with caspian blue (but asking for less metallic than oem) are my top contendors right now. Opinions?
