Finally had a few days off where I could actually get some work done. I bought a 100lbs blaster from Eastwood, I must say that thing rocks, blasted the whole front of the car, engine bay, frame rails, firewall, worked very nicely. This morning I got up around 5am and did the epoxy, I used the SPI brand, overall I think it came out great, completely satisfied.

Next up weld in my toe boards and then weld in the full floor that is coming, then I should be stellar on my metal working. WooHoo...

I bought the Black Bull Garnet sand from TSC, but then they ran out so I got the glass from them, I think I liked the glass better, it seemed to do a better job on the rust and seems to go farther.

I have a Quincy 5hp 60 gallon, running 80psi, I was able to blast 90 minutes straight, air came on every once and a while. I wasted my first bucket learning, total I bought 3 buckets and reclaimed 2 of them.

David,

Find your own blasting thread.

Seriously, share the process, the good, bad and ugly. Sounds like you had no problem and would if it again ?

I will get some pics tonight, there on the camera just need to download them.

Only problem I had was setting up my paint gun, my first coat came out a bit heavy but the second was perfect, everything went smoothly not sure if I would do anything differently given my circumstances and situation, ie. no paint booth, I painted outside the was absolutely no wind at all. The blaster was Eastwoods 100lbs standard blaster, worked perfectly out of the box, my nozzle got a bit used up, I think I will get another before I start on the trunk, you can get them at your local TSC store which is nice, only 5 bucks for 3.
