My book only goes to 72 but it looks like there's a common system for 69-73. There were apparently two configurations; one for a collapsible spare that was inflated when needed, and a full-size spare. Diagram showing both is below.

NPD carries the J-bolt and the nut. The upper retainer that goes between the tire and the large wing nut is, I think, the jack handle, but you could also use the disk that the earlier models used.

I haven’t carried a spare for years, it takes up too much room.
I use a tire sealer and a small 12v airings pump.

 

Sadly I have more room in my Trunk than I do in my garage!!!

 

For years I read all you guys saying you don't carry a spare. I was on your side until my <1 year old tire with <500 miles suddenly did this at 60-70 mph about 10 miles from home
