Hi All---Have a full size spare in the truck but not tied down. Looks like there is the attachment for the J-Hook under the carpet. But when I search I see that some people have a space saver of some sort. Also, I am finding kits to mount with the place but the are for pre 1969 cars. Anyone with info the help is appreciated. Would like to stick with the Full size spare since I already have it.

Thanks

Joe

My book only goes to 72 but it looks like there's a common system for 69-73. There were apparently two configurations; one for a collapsible spare that was inflated when needed, and a full-size spare. Diagram showing both is below.

NPD carries the J-bolt and the nut. The upper retainer that goes between the tire and the large wing nut is, I think, the jack handle, but you could also use the disk that the earlier models used.
