Yep in the South we have 2 off seasons, Winter (Dec/Jam) and Summer (July/Aug) the summer one is for us older fat guys that are too cheap for cool suits,,
This Summer finally installing my 9 inch full floater, really looking forward ti this one.. been fighting 1 problem after another, pad knock back, bearings not staying put to the point I have tack welded the retaining rings.
Project 2. another fun one,, 3.5 straight pipe side exit exhaust. running 3" now. my engine builder said 3" is not enough. we'll see.. going with an x pile and some Dr. Gas tips if they are still in business.

In the North when you have the lung issues I have the same July/Aug off season applies. Fortunately the local SCCA chapters tend to go lightly on points events during those "family vacation" months! My not SoT rear axle assembly is giving me fits and Shaun seems to include a picture of his full floater in every conversation. I'm curious to see how yours works out.

I don't see how anyone could need a 3 1/2" exhaust under a 1000 hp. But I'm not your engine builder either.

I installed a SoT 3 link many years ago, it was no problem.. pm me if I can help. I installed mine stock, then mini tubbed my car so cut everything apart and re welded. As far as the semi floating 9 inch, the first issue was the bearing retaining plates at VIR, was using the ones that slide over the axle and the bearing pushed right through. Lately the retaining rings have not been holding on the axles first the passenger side, which ate a brake caliper (should be thankful because that was the only thing holding it in the housing) then the drivers side started walking at Robeling Road RRR.

As far as the exhaust, I haven't made one in a few years, think I am going to take this opportunity to install those convertible inner rockers and get rid of the frame connectors for more clearance,, If nothing else it will look cool

Hello, nothing too radical, 351W based 410 stroker with some warmed over vic jr heads 950 demon carb and a fairly big solid roller cam making 645 hp @ 6300 and 625 tq on an engine dyno.. Would like some AFR 220's or even something more radical like some chi3, but I am putting those on the back burner for now.

If you have 3'' side exit already i think that is sufficient with your power, not sure if going to 3.5 will pick up much other than extra weight lol. But im all about fabricating your own stuff so i say hell yeah is worth it ! I will recommend going stainless if your budget allows !
I 2nd the afr220 heads your combo needs that at minimum, the CHI or some trickflow cleveland 225 powerports, but that require new pistons.
