Negative on the shifting hard. I've been driving it a few days now and it might be fine. It's odd because the shift throw is definitely shorter than it used to be but it shifts through all the gears fine and if I go from 5th then reverse it works fine. I guess I'll wait a couple more days and see what happens. Another question though, is shifting to 5th or 4th to use the syncro to get into reverse an accepted SOP for these transmissions? I'm 22 and this is my first trans with no syncro for reverse and I find it weird that if you bought a Mustang in 1990 the dealer would mention, "Hey make sure you go into 5th or 4th before reverse because it doesn't have a syncro." Maybe it's just me. Thanks for the responses so far.

Man, I must be getting old. I've driven many cars where 1st gear didn't have a synchro...let alone reverse.

Why did I know putting my age was a bad choice haha. I've wired digital gauges, replaced the whole front suspension, converted to granada disc brakes, done the T5 conversion and each one has been a learning experience with the help of you guys. Always learning.
