The guy selling the K code heads called today...

well the guy finally called back. He said that I was the only one to call for the heads.

So I am going to run over there tonight and see what they are, He told me that one of the heads had the water jacket blow out of it.
but he also said that he had them at the machine shop and they said it was fixable. I guess I will see tonight.

so, If the heads turn out to be K code heads, and the water jacket is fixable. Do y'all think that they will be worth $75?

$75 is good for a broken set. Good original sets go for about $300-500........Rebuilt heads go for 600-800 per pair

If you're purchasing them for a K-coder restoration and have been unsuccessful in acquiring a set, that's a fair price, depending on the nature of the damage and the repair's impact on the head's appearance.

If for any other reason, IMO, pass.....there is no real performance advantage to K-code heads that can't be achieved very inexpensively with regular 289 heads. Turning the heads likely wouldn't be very profitable, given the damage, if fully disclosed.

agreed. There isnt anything you can acheive performance-wise w K heads you cant get from C heads much cheaper....now if its for a resto thats a different story.
