Seen this post and must stick up for the east coast and maybe take that award. (LOL) I have 100+ mustangs on my property and it also is my place of residence. (mostly parts cars and yes I have a special use permit) They are well hidden and you will only see them in an airplane. Also have a 2 story farm house and a couple of buildings that are on the property full of parts. I personally own and drive a 91 GT and a 2000 convertible. Also own a nice 70 Mach and a 70 FB I'm making into a pro-street toy. I don't have any pic's except the one on my first website page and the one's in my photo gallery of all the mustangs I have owned in the last 35 years. Love the Mustangs. Thanks Jim :pirate: :pirate:

Hello Maxum96--- Was just going to get me a cold beer--, we'll wait,--- I'm back. I did go and get myself a cold beer. We'll- Your probaly talking about the fellow in CA. but have to say my cars cannot be seen by ANY NEIGHBORS. They are TOTALLY surrounded by cedars and about a 1/4 mile from the nearest neighbor. The only way they can be seen is in an airplane. (beside's on the ground) You would never know what my business from just driving by MY HOUSE. Talking about the first post of the guy in CA. I would kinda understand but seems to be a NEIGHBORHOOD issue. If the fellows neighbors have a problem with his cars, etc, sure they know they could always go cry to the right authority's I guess. Jim :loco:

Can you say "hoarder"? As much as I love Mustangs, I'd hate to be his neighbor and live near that eyesore.
Naw, he isn't a "hoarder" he is a pretty nice guy and makes a living selling and parting out Mustangs. He brought all that out for pics to go with his ad, most of it stays in storage and his garage.

There is a place for everything. Why should the neighbors have to "cry" to the proper authorities because this guy has decided to run an automotive business out of his house in a residential neighborhood dragging their home prices down? I would love to have a bunch of cars and parts. But I wouldn't subject my neighbors to it because I live in a subdivision. Now if I lived in a remote area with acreage, I'd probably have a bunch of junk stored out there. I just made the eyesore comment because it looked as if the seller lived in a residential area. One of the reasons I've chosen to live in a area controlled by covenants. But hey, if you're out in the boondocks have at I say.

I agree. Glad I live in the country and have about 10 acres. Jim ADDED-- Here in this county (boondocks) we have a 'junk car ordiance' and if there is a complaint the law will show up with a warning to move them. If not addressed in a timely manner then you go to court. Guess (maybe) most his neighbors don't care. Jim

As much as I love Mustangs, I have to agree, if I lived above and had to look down on basically that 'wrecking yard', Id be pretty upset. Least he can do is throw some car covers on the cars.
Not alot of moisture in that area, and it wouldnt do any damage to the cars, but would sure be better sight then all those parts cars... Yeeessh.

If you read the CL ad, he is asking for help moving his business.

After seeing the pictures and reading the ad, he seems to be like many Americans that start with a hobby and turn it into a home based business and then take it to the next level.

But the bottom line is he is moving his stuff out!

I agree with you also Zforce. If you look at one of the pic's seem's to me he's got open, scrub land behind his house. Is this a RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBOOHOOD?? Does anyone on here know? I don't know the guy so I can't say. Doesn't look like it. All i see is a house beside his. Might be his mom, brother, sister, or grandaddy that are his neighbors and don't care about what's been called 'junk' outside his home. Like they say one man's junk is another mans treasure. Like you said also, seems he is making arrangements to move all his 'junk' anyway. Good luck to him. Nice to see someone else saving all those original parts for restorers and not having to use (unless they elect to) repo parts. Hope his business works out for him and he keeps all the mustangs he can from the chrusher. Jim :loco: PS-that is how my business came about. It was a hobby and I loved mustangs. My first mustang out of HS was a Drag Pack Boss 302 in '74. In 84 regrettable sold it. In 85 got another fastback (not a boss) and bought a couple cars to restore it. Had about 5 69/70's for parts and everyone was wanting to buy something off the cars. So there it goes from there. Take care. Jim

I can see people complaining living in a subdivision but if they live out in the sticks with no neighbors around then I seriously envy them. I would have kept my 68 parts car intact if I lived in a place I could keep it. Being a car guy I envy people like Horsehead, not all of us would turn it into a business but wouldn't mind having a few parts cars around to support our running and ones under restoration.

Horsehead, out of curiousity, how do you locate/find cars to add to your yard? Do you browse the papers, for sale ads, ect. looking for old Mustangs to buy and part out? Do you ever sell whole cars out of the yard that people have wanted to bring back to life? I have to keep you in mind if I need something for my 68, I never knew you existed! Most of the original parts I've tracked down I found on Ebay as most salvage yards don't have anything older than mid 80s by me.

What is that Camaro doing in that driveway??

I got a notice from the village where I live in about weeds in front of my house (they are about 6" in some spots on the parkway). Someone wrote that he is re-locating. Maybe is non-Mustang friends will be happy.
