Well, even I can't be that lucky, but I'm not giving up until I find my elusive "reasonable" Shelby. It turns out that it is just an "A" code fastback that was originally white with a red interior, 4spd and limited slip. It has a tach that he thought was an 8K but when I looked it was a 6K and not an 8K. It has an old 302 and an auto in it now but the original 289 A code and 4spd are in the barn. He was asking $8,500 which in my mind was way too much (unless it was hiding a secret!!)

Here is the info on the car. This car gets my vote for being the most unusual fastback I've ever seen! CHECK OUT THE PIC!!!!!

Here is a pic of the car (maybe someone else can post it into this thread so others could see it!)

I think our beloved Bob has the perfect description of that thing! It looks like a vacuum cleaner IMO. If it was a Shelby, it could be the ultimate rebody (no I'm not starting THAT thread.) ::
PS I'm surprised there isn't a 666 in that vin number.

Yeah, it is. But you have to remember the day Bob. Silky "Roland" shirts with polyester bellbottoms over platform shoes was the "hip" dress code for the guys. Every car magazine had a multi-colored flared hood scooped thing on its cover. Movies like Corvette Summer were all the rage. No, time has not been kind to the radical custom car in general. But, you can see my interest in looking just a little further with some of the clues I was given. What if it was a real 67 Shelby under those flares!!??

It's Andy "A-Code" Ant-eater!

My wife called it an ant eater too! LOL I thought it looked like a Dustbuster.

Isn't he talking about the 3rd and forth picture on the page? That looks more like what he was talking about.

-Right?

You know it is not too unlike the Torino King Cobras for nascar from the early 70's. The car was originally built in 1975, then redone in the 80's and repainted in 92.

it looks like a kit that "FIBREFAB" used to sell in the late 60's. they also did a "pintera" kit for the pinto and a few other fugly kits of that era.
