Anyone know about how much it should cost including material to get my upper ball joints replaced? They are bad and tires are shot because of it. I was quoted 90 for labor and 52 for parts.

doesn't sound like a bad price but if the ball joints are replacments already it is a fairly easy job to do check to see if there are bolts holding them in or big rivets if it has rivets have it done if they are bolts you might consider doing it yourself.

still has the rivets if my memory serves me right. 36 years is a good long time. Maybe I should change the bottoms as well.
If everything is original I would get the big kit and change it all if you change upper ball joints now next week you'll be doing lowers then strut rod bushings and swaybar endlinks and on and on the cost is about 700-800 for the kit but then you got everything brand new and don't have to worry about it for quite a while again and its not hard to do just basic hand tools are required and a spring compressor these can be borrowed or rented at the local parts store and it can be done in a day
