What kind of gas mileage from a newer V-6 Mustang?

Yesterday, my stepdaughter had a very serious crash which she was able to walk away from (thanks to airbags and seatbelts). She was driving a 98 Mazda 626 when she had the accident. Her car is a total loss, so we will be car shopping next week. She is in college right now, and drives about 100 miles a day, so gas mileage and price are important.

What kind of gas mileage do the late-model V-6 Mustangs get?

Not exactly sure, but I would estimate 23-25 mpg based on motor type, gear ratio & weight of the car.

Not to go OT but I would HIGHLY recommend the new model Dodge Neon, either standard, SXT or R/T (Even better, the SRT-4). They all have an incredible amount of power & gas milage in the 30-32mpg range. My girlfriend has one & I would trade every car I have ever owned (except my pride & joy 67) for one.

Thanks. All recommendations are welcome. I'm sure there are other good cars available that I have not even thought about yet. I personally don't like Neon's, but I have read good things about them, and I won't be the one driving it anyway. We'll be sure to look at one.

take a look at newer jettas , especially the vr6's. they are comfortable, handle well, get good mileage, and they have some pretty good pop. i had a friend who bought one, put an exhaust , intake, and a chip in it... he would smoke 5/0's all the time haha. and on the freeway it had never ending top end.im surprised at what those things can do .
