Here is where I am and what I have for a question (PS: Y'all rock!)

I have a 1967 coupe that had the rear converted to a Nod9". According to my research, it is a 31 spline
Now, the brake line kit I bought was for the 67, so , you guessed it, they don't match in the rear and I have to order the 69 rear ones.
Now, my top loader 4spd is a 28 spline and so before I go further, I must put out there that I don't know how this works. With the axle, can I connect the 28 spline trans to the 31 spline rear?

So, about lines? Well, I wanted to ask all this so I can realize if there is something to deal with before I order the lines for the rear. I think that I only need the steel lines as it seems that hose is the same.

Any advice?
Thanks y'all again!

28 to 31 is no problem, because they are not directly connected.
Just need the correct yoke to match the tranny, and the correct u-joints on each end of the driveshaft.
You can bend your own brake lines, it's really easy. I just it for the first time on my '68 rear, and no leaks. And it's cheaper and you can route them any way you want.

I too am looking to purchase a rear axle brake line kit. Its for my 68 but I have a 1969 9" (28 spline) for it. Ive noticed that they list different kits for the 9" 28 spline and 9" 31 spline and I am not sure why. I would think that the axle housings would be the same as well as the wheel cylinders. I wasnt sure about the hose but you seem to think it is the same so what is different for brake lines from the 28 to 31? If any knows please reply.

Thanks
Paul

31 spline only came with the 68 1/2 - 70 428 CJ and Boss cars. So the brake pieces for a 428 car are correct for a 31 spline. Of course the Torino Mustangs had 31 spline also, but I was limiting it to the 1970 cars.

Paul1958, that is something I was worried about too. I ended up buying the lines for the 69 (as that is the rear) for my 67 frame. That should be alright... I hope :)

Don't forget the BOSS 302, and the other BOSS.

Just out of curiosity what ratio are you running and what is the axle code on the tag (ie WES-?)

Thanks
