Probably not out of the box. But anything can be made to work. Been a lot of chatter on the forum tonight about splitters and such. I posted this link earlier on another thread. They may be able to customize something for you.
Tim - I made some measurements and then forgot to post them here - Duh!
It's raining right now so I can't re-measure. The splitter makes a funny bend at the front though. It is not a smooth arc. It has one radius from the wheelwell to about 80% of the way to the front. Then it jumps out a bit and makes a transition to the front.
These measurements are right in front of the tire.
66 Mustang valance roughly 57"
03 Cobra spoiler roughly 62"
But the newer Mustang has a very deep bumper compared to the early cars, you would have some fab work to do. Might be easier to have one made from scratch.
Another thought might be to check out the factory and after market for the mid to late 80's T-Birds. I remember them as being rather similar and flexible in nature?
I don't know if this helps or not, but here are a couple of pics of a 65-66 front valance next to a 2005 Shelby splitter. The splitter measures 70 1/2 inches wide. Good luck, and keep us posted on what you do!
Rick
No, I just have that splitter because a friend at the local Ford dealer gave it to me. It scrapped the ground on one corner when taking the Shelby off the car carrier, so the dealership replaced it before the owner picked it up.
I gave Rich at Mustangs To Fear a 2006 Shelby splitter to work with on this project. It is quite a bit wider then the early mustangs, and would need a complete redo, basically starting from scratch. That was over a year ago. I know he is super busy with other projects, and running a couple businesses, hopefully he will give an update.
In order to do a wind splitter that would look good, the front valance needs to be completely redesigned with a more modern look. It also needs to be lowered considerably. 65-70 front valances have way to much ground clearance.
