Looking to purchase the cast iron bracket used in 1967 to mount the A/C compressor anti-vibration brace tube (the piece of steel tubing with bends and flattened ends with bolt holes / slots in the flattened ends). One end of this anti-vibration brace tube bolts to the compressor .... the other end of the brace tube bolts to the cast iron bracket I am looking for. The part number cast into the bracket I am looking for is: C7AA-2A903-A .

Those of you with a copy of Bob Mannel's Small Block Ford Book, there is a picture of this cast iron bracket on page 7-36. I understand the bracket I am looking for may have been used on large 1967 Fords (Galaxie) and perhaps Mercurys equipped with A/C and a 289.

If you have one of these brackets to sell, please contact me by PM or e-mail. rpclnash@cs.com

Thank you. Rick (aka: Engineer)

I have the A/C brackets from a 67 289 and
I'm not sure I see what you are needing. The
tube is steel, the cast iron bracket bolts to the
head and the compressor sits on top of it, which
do you need?
If you could post a picture it would help.

Pictures of the Bracket I Need ....

Attached (hopefully ... I have never posted a picture) are pictures of the bracket I am looking for. The Ford Engineering part number (C7AA-2A903-A) is cast into the bracket. There is an earlier version of this bracket carrying the part number C5AA-2A903-A. I prefer the "C7" version. Would consider "C5". Thank you. Rick

Well, that's certainly strange, I have never seen one of those.

I looked in my Ford Master Parts catalog illustration and found
a picture of it, looks like it bolts to the back of the head and then
the tube brace bolts to it with the other end attached to the
compressor. The ones I have seen have had the tube brace bolt
to the intake manifold and not use that bracket.

I'll have to look for one next time at the salvage yard.

If you would like me to send you a exploded view out of the book
leave me a PM with your e-mail address.
