Im excited cause ill get to drive it and it will perfectly complement my 64.5 (exactly 40 years older) and my dads 69 mach 1. Does anyone know how to go about pre- ordering them or when the official debut will be? Thanx for the info YAY!

Looking forward to the 2006, that way I can have a car 40 years apart. Just hope they offer in the original colors.

They will not be available intil late summer when the 2005 models are brought out. Ford has only decided on the final design at this time, which they screwed up nicely. We gave them an earfull at the international car show. They want to get out of this sales slump, and then they take a good thing and screw it up trying to squeeze a few bucks more out of it and ruined it. Gone are the side scoops upper and lower, and it completely ruined the car. Interior was nice but I did not really care for it, as it looked uncomfortable, uninviting and cramped. Tail end is nice and is very reminesc of the 1969's. They did salvage the front end by keeping the La Mas lights in the grille area instead of mounding them into the front bumper which helped to retain the Shelby look in that area. The old fastback roofline design was brought forward pretty well. The GT-40 is INCREDIBLE, and I want one, but not at $140,000. What the heck are they thinking??? Fret not, GM was not much better. The new SSR Pick-up/Convertible/Car was popular, but completely useless as a truck. I'm sure the gullable will come in droves though, and won't realize how useless it is until its too late. The Solstice was a hideous little peck of a car, and the pencil necks with pocket protectors were drooling all over it. The GTO was a pathetic joke, and we told them to their faces. Its nothing more than a rebadged Grand Am.... big whoop. I have to be honest, between the two companys the newly redesigned Corvette was the nicest and most impressive of them all. Ford dropped the ball big time by not making the GT-40 in the same price bracket so they could compete. Morons that they are.... :(

Wow. Talk about a positive attitude...

Those "morons" DID put the GT in a price range where it will compete nicley. The GT-40 was, and the GT is, a Ferrari beater. Screw the Corvette, and I'm guessing they don't give a rip if you can afford it, they'll sell every one of them they can make.

If you have to claim the GTO is a rebadged anything, at least get the model right and call it a Holden Monaro (sp?). I'm sure the GM people you were giving such an education to were quite impressed by your knowledge.

First of all I did not post here to be lectured by a snot ass know it all. Mine IS a positive attitude, and thats as good as it gets, get over it. Seems another snot nosed punk with no experience in automobiles cannot handle the truth around here. Figures. I could care less about the God damn Ferrari and so can Ford. They aren't even in the same league. My statement was about the FACT that Ford and GM are bitching about car sale profits being in the loss column the last few years. So what do they do, cater to the super rich. Screw the rich, make something that will take away a part of GM's market where they have litterally NO competition. The Corvette. DUH! Ford SHOULD give a rip about the Corvette if they are serious about the bottom line. DUH!!! No doubt they'll sell all of the GT40's, they're only making an handful. DUH! Any idiot knows that, and can put two and two together. As for Pontiac, no [censored] shirlock, its a rebadged Aussie mobile litterally. It still LOOKS like a rebadged Grand Am which is uglier than [censored], and thats what I implied. GM took me quite seriously as they understood english. The LS-1 board is looking for your type, ya should swing on over. ::
