1964 1/2 has the virus (won't start)!

I have a starting problem with my 1964 1/2 mustang. The starter turns over but the car won't start. It is getting gas. I've done a tune up on it with new spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor, and starter solenoid (I tried 3 different coils too). There is power getting to the coil, but no spark coming out of the high tension lead from the coil. I even pull out the protonix ignitor and put new points back in but no spark. This all started about two weeks ago when I was driving the car and noticed the car had no power when accelerating. I checked the timing and then this happened that the car wouldn't start. Is there anything else I could inspect like maybe the ignition switch etc?

Thank you,

Check for clean connections at the I and S small poles on the solenoid switch, good ground in the distributor and from the block or back of the head to the firewall.

I'm going thru the same thing. I think my Pertronix is fried. They sent me a link on how to test the unit.

Also you can look at a thread I have. Some great info on ruling out certain areas: VMF thread.

Do you have the Flamethrower coil? If so can you use a 1.5 ohm coil with points? Don't know if it matters so I'm throwing the question out.

If I figure mine out, I'll let you know.
