4 speed toploader Slip Yoke - Please Help

This is absolutely unbelievable. Am I not clear in what I need? Below is my statement to Strange, which I've stated twice. They tell me they don't know the inner diameter of their slip yoke and told me to contact Sonnax. So what they are saying is they don't know if their slip yoke will fit a 28 spline shaft with a 1 1/16" diameter. How does the manufacturer not know if this part fits my application?

Statement to Strange: I need a 1350 slip yoke for a 4 speed toploader with 28 spline and 1 1/16” diameter output shaft.

Can anybody here do Strange's job and confirm their U1658 slip yoke will or will not work in my application? It seems pretty straight forward to me that it should but they do not list the toploader transmission as an application which is my concern.

Toploader uses the same yoke as a C4, which is listed in their applications for the U1658

Your 1 1/16" shaft diameter is probably what's throwing them off, as nobody refers to that dimension on a yoke or output shaft. Input shaft - absolutely.

If it fits the C4 it will fit the toploader.....what kind of power you running that you need a 1350 u-joint? (that gets a thumbs up,,,,)

I was also thinking that info wasn't needed but the driveshaft builder wanted that spec from me so I added it to my needs when reaching out to Strange.

My engine dyno was 573. I may have overbuilt my driveline but at least I know it shouldn't break (or is less likely to).

To the best of my recollection, the Ford 28 spline slip yoke was all the same diameter inside and out regardless of application. So, an early 65 170 C4 auto slip yoke will fit a 1993 T5 5-speed.

As long as it's a 28 spline and not a 25 the yoke OD will be 1-1/2" and the ID will be "correct".
