What MC are you planning to use? Is this the Granada disc swap? if so look here http://www.mustangsteve.com/granadadiscs.html

IF Not:
My best guess would be a 67 Disribution block that was used on a Disk brake equipped car(and make sure you get the short lines connected to the distrubution block). You will also need a brass adapter fitting from Napa Auto Parts to connect rear brake line (can't remember which P/N) I think you will also have to use the pushrod from the 66 MC for your 67 MC.

If you are swapping to a front disk/rear drum combination, you will need a proportioning valve as well a dist. block. The 67 dist. block will work without adding a fitting from NAPA, as the previous post described. With the 67, you have enough ports on the dist. block to plumb both front and rears to the dist. block. If you use the 65/66 dist. block, you need the fitting to bypass the dist. block and plumb the intermediate line from the rear directly to one reservoir of the master cylinder. The proportioning valve, believe, is to delay engagement of the front brakes long enough for the rear brakes to overcome the resistence of the locating springs on the rear drums. I had a long technical talk with a shelby owner/engineer at Knotts and he explained (debunked a few urban myths) about proportioning valves and one other brake-related valve, the name of which I forget. I post on it in April. Anyway, since you need a proportioning valve and the factory early models are expensive and difficult to locate, I suggest going with a 70 or later distribution block which has the proportioning valve built into it. Otherwise, your options is to use your stock 65/66 dist. block and plumb your rear brakes to an aftermarket "dial type" proportioning valve inserted in line between your m/c and rear brakes.

good luck

Negative, Ken. Dennis is right. The fittings on the '66 brake lines are a different size. You MUST use the adapter when using a '67 distribution block with '66 brake lines.

Hi there, can somebody help me out with a question about disk swaps. I have just had my 67 manual drum braked convertible installed with Granada disks on the front and an original type power booster. I took it to a Mustang specialist who has done lots of conversions before. Although I supplied a Wilwood proportioning valve and a new master cylinder (one big reservoir, one small one),they chose not to use these parts. Apparently the new MC would not physically fit because, with the new booster which had not been there before, the shock tower was in the way. What they have done is used the original dual reservoir MC (two equal sized reservoirs)which must be a bit smaller, and the original distribution block. The braking seems to be superb. My question is, is there any likely problem for the future in leaving the original MC and distribution block and no proportioning valve?
Thanks for any advice,

Peter
