68 with gt40p heads what headers/manifolds?

I know this has probably been beat to death, but here goes again. Looking for a reasonable header/manifold set-up for a 1968 mustang using gt40p heads. Kind of wanting information from people who have done this or has first hand experience , not just read about it. Need to know what really has been proven to work. It's for my son who is limited in budget, so he can't afford to buy five sets of headers just to find one that works.

Thank you
Dave

I have used specific P headers with P heads. BUT, on one of my own vehicles, I used "regular" long tube headers and they worked with the P heads. You may have to change a plug wire boot ( to a different style/angle ), but that was all I had to do. Long tube headers give you more room than a typical shorty header, thus working with the P head.

What MAC long tubes look like.

What a 71-73 302 manifold looks like. It won't work with PS as it dumps where the ram is.

Stock manifold. It could work in a pinch with a little grinding and a 90* boot. Use the correct P sparkplug as it is a little shorter. You will have to install the sparkplug before manifold.
