I found this carb I had forgotten in my carb box. It is an autolite 4300. The tag is gone and all I can read on the toe is 10 F AAA. Maybe from a PO'S son's hot rod merc?? It is available if anyone can help ID it or needs it. I had no luck looking it up in my Pony Carb book.
thanks, Scott

That is a strange I.D. number on it. If I remember right, the 4300 series of carbs didn't have the tag, just the stamped ID on the foot of the carb. All the numbers I've seen started with a letter followed by a number. The letter represented the decade and the number the year in the decade. I have a D3ZF-MA on my '73 Mach 1. It's a period correct Motorcraft replacement for what was original. I'd be interested to know more details about your carb if you find any info.

The number on my 4300A carb is D1OF-AAA from my 71 Mach 1. It is the original carb. CFM is about 480. This carb was stock on 351C 4V engines. It may have been used on others also.
