Why do you want to run an 18 in the rear and a 17 in the front?

 

I'v seen it done on other cars and it gives it a cool look
kinda like the 70s look with big wheels in the rear and
small up front but I also want this thing to go around corners

 

Here's a good place to start.

Looks like you'll want 17x8 fronts with 4.5 - 4.75 B/S.
You'll have to get some rear end measurements to recalculate B/S with the new rear. With a stock rear, you're looking at 18x9 wheels with about 5.5" B/S. Don't think you can fit 10" wheels. Those 295's will be a TIGHT fit.

that's the same I came up with but Pirelli recommends 10"
for the 295/35/18 the tire it self physically fits in the wheel
well no problem but I need the correct back space to order
my wheels I think I'm going to have to wait for the rear end
to be in place in order to take an accurate measurement

 

Why not? It does look neat, I've seen it done on a few cars (the new Vettes come this way). Considered it myself for a bit but I'll warn you in advance that 18's are very rough on the street.

 

we have nice roads in New Hampshire
that size has a 4.1" side wall its not that bad
