I want to paint my own decklid stripes. Does anybody know the Correct dimensions or measurements for the 1970 "Mach 1" stripes on the trunk lid?:shrug:

Buy a kit--measure them and then return the kit.......or see if you can find the measurements online.

I bought the stencil but it can be laid out by hand. Here's a good page for you:

use the vinyl kit. Its too easy to put on not to and looks great. Heres the trick. Use a spray bottle and mist down the the areas, then wet the vinyl, it will allow you to move it around into position. when your satisfied squeegee it.

Why would you paint them? I'd much rather have the cool effect and safety of the reflective tape.
