it's a filthy mess I wish I could get it all media blasted and start over. Really I don't want to get too OCD about it I just want to clean the dirt off of everything. Anything I can do at my liftless house ????

I did my 67 by taking it to the local car wash with my floor jack and 4 jack stands. I jacked it up about as far as I dare, wore grubby clothes and laid on the ground and went to town. Had to do it in the summer, cause I was soaked by the time I finished.

Get it up as high as possible and try to pressure wash it. I've seen pressure washers take off amazing amounts of grime.

Wait for a real heavy rain and find a swollen creek or river... wait bad idea:loco:

Pressure washer if yo have it. Soaking it good with Simple Green and some Ajax cleane with a stiff bristle brush (like used to clean wheels). Hose it all off. Expect to get wet and wear eye goggles to keep the stuff out of your eyes.
If you really want to get it clean, get out the drill and wire wheel, couple of small bristle brushes, and even some bottle brushes and get up under the car with it jacked as high as the jack stands will safely hold the car. And then wait a day or two and repeat this as you will see the spots that need more work. toch up areas that are exposed metal and primer the bottom good. I like the rust encapsulator from Eastwood.

A couple cans of oven cleaner might get it loose enough to rinse off with a hose but it might be too strong! Don't get it in your eye! Trust me... Or a really good dilute degreaser and a hose. I wouldn't use a pressure washer...

I have to do mine too. My biggest issue is how to get the thing up about 3 feet off the ground so I can work under there.

I'm thinking I am going to get an air lift jack and then building some sort of something to hold the car up.

I used a pressure washer after I sprayed the entire undercarriage with Super Clean (purple stuff in a jug, used to be made by Castrol) using a pressurized garden sprayer. Wear gloves and eye protection at a minimum!!!

It came out amazingly well. Took it right down to the factory red oxide primer and black pinch weld paint. So clean I could about eat off it.
