CJPP markup on small AMK Hardware is insulting!

and $1.50 from AMK direct. CJPP has a ridiculous markup on tons of AMK hardware kits.

No one is forcing you buy from them ( I don't ). They have quite a following, although I don't understand exactly why ? Maybe it's the jazzy web site with videos, etc.

I used CJPP as an example because their Search function is much better than NPD's, at least for me. And CJPP has "Free" shipping although it's not really free- it's built into the price. And by the time NPD adds $9.95 for Fedex or UPS shipping for those 2 small parts that can be mailed for $2.50 what is their total price compared to CJPP?

 

The best search function is actually talking to someone in the phone. What up with the shipping ? Don't you want the FedEx man to eat and have a house to sleep in ? Pay the man, he's doing a service.. Cheaper than us driving across the country to visit NPD in person, and then paying sales tax.

I'd prefer to pay $2.50 to the Mailman rather than $9.95 to the Fedexman!

 

Put the rubber shift boot in warm water before you stretch it over the handle. It will make it a little easier.

 

The hotter the water the easier it will be (not boiling).

PS. did you know there is a lower boot that protects the shift mechanism ? The one for a T-10 is not the same as the toploader.

There are two for the 66-68 Mustang, the 3-speed and the 4-speed. You can also get the 69-70 Hurst lower boot.
