Tail light lens... Clear or Red?

Ok so I am getting ready to purchase new LED taillights. Im also going to purchase new lens to go with them. I keep going back and forth on getting the standard red or getting the custom clear ones. The LED taillights are red led's so I dont have to worry about the lens being red or not.

Anyone have pics of clear taillights? maybe a picture will help me decide.

Go with red lens tails lights.... I think clear wouldn't look right on a vintage car.

Yeah im pretty sure im going to go with red, i was just hoping someone had a pic of the clear just so I could see before I buy them

Clear rear lens doesn't look right on ANY car, IMO.

They are also illegal (at least in CA). You need a RED REFLECTOR on the back, generally this is incorporated into the tail light lenses - the "prismatic" part.

I don't know, I think they look pretty good on my lightning, but it's just the outter part that's is clear, and it's stock tail lights.

Red lights also act as red reflectors. I'd say stay with the red lenses for aesthetics as well as safety.

Unless you're also planning to bolt a park bench on your deck lid to complete the "look", I suggest going with red. Some mods need to be left to the import crowd.
