The 70 351w wasn't stock with a 4 barrel in that 70 Mustang!!!

Apparently the motor was an original 2 barrel, but he has added the four barrel, which doesn't matter to me anyways since I'm after the rear end.
My next question is, would the rear end have 31 spline axles if it were a 9 inch, which I'm pretty sure it is???

Odds are its a 28 spline.

IIRC 31s got put behind the BBF engines or should i say the bigger blocks.

My 351 4v came with a 3.50 traction lok and 31 spline axles.

A little more than halfway down it will tell you how to identify 28 and 31 spline axles by just looking at the ends.

I think the 31 spline axles were only in the big block cars that were equipped with the drag pack. Otherwise, all 9" rears were 28 spline.
