Does anybody run black torq thrust d wheels? I’m trying to decide if I want the traditional color or the black torq thrusts. Photos of the black would be helpful. I’m probably going to get 15x7 in whichever finish I choose. I have a red 1966 coupe.

Black centers require the least amount of effort to maintain and keep looking good (by far) compared to any others, and the contrast to shiny outer rims screams both no-nonsense and period correct to me. It's both understated and dramatic at the same time. I can't have this GT40, but I can have that wheel look, and I do. I think I've hand washed my wheel centers maybe three times in the last two years, I just wipe down the outer rims and go.

I have some in that style, you can see them in the video here, that's about the best I have right now, I love the look.

These are the wheels: Vision Wheel 141 Legend 5 Wheels & 141 Legend 5 Rims On Sale
mine are 15 inch, and they are really pretty affordable, I got a good deal at discount tire.com with some tires mounted.

Personally, I think black spokes just makes the details of the wheels harder to see and appreciate. As the photos above show, it can definitely look good, but I personally prefer the gray/argent/whatever.

I have to agree. Though the darker contrast does appeal to me. Enough that I have considered trying some anthracite Plastidip on my wheels to see how it turns out.

15" on the street is going to be limiting your selection of tires with it decreasing every year going forward. A noble goal for sure.

Pictured below 17" TT2's in argent but in the shadows and lowered a bit. If you hate the 17" because it looks like rubber bands I agree! But sadly given my hobby I buy a lot of rubber bands and the 17" are the cheapest.

Brother your car looks great!! Your sidewalls seem a little short but all manufacturers tire sizes are not equal. I’m running 45 aspect ratio on all 4 corners. Are yours 40?

3.75 bs may either limit your tire size or cause you to roll your fender lips or not lower your car
your magnums should be 4.25 bs.
4.25 bs works best on early cars
