I had been putting this off for awhile because it can be a pain to do in your driveway on jack stands but, today, I pulled my 3 speed manual shifter assembly, disassembled , cleaned, and lubed it and installed new retaining kits on all 4 ends of my 2 shifter rods. By the way, one of the shifter rods was installed backwards ! Anyway, it shifts so smooth and with authority now. I had previously replaced the bushings in the shifter handle. Messy job but it sure was worth it! Next, I will pull my clutch/brake pedal assembly and rebuild it but its going to have to cool down before I tackle that! It was only 101 with high humidity here today.

I can say the same for an auto linkage and accelerator rod bushing kit ! ! Nothing like getting dirty on a Mustang.
Good job, @Fitch ! !
